The Youth Orchestra of Pisac project was born from the shared dream of violin teacher Yuli Libertad and a dedicated group of mothers from Pisac, who envisioned a bright future for the children of the Sacred Valley of the Incas—one that goes beyond the boundaries of their own community. Their vision is clear: to offer children and youth from across the valley the opportunity to learn to play the violin and other chamber instruments, thus creating the Youth Orchestra of Pisac.

This project not only promotes art and culture, but also aims to provide a platform for the holistic development of children, fostering positive values and keeping them away from potential harmful habits.

To provide children and youth of the Sacred Valley of the Incas with access to high-quality music education, free of economic barriers, fostering their holistic development as individuals and citizens. Through the creation and consolidation of the Orquesta Juvenil de Pisac, we aim to promote social inclusion, strengthen the cultural identity of the region, and offer a safe and enriching space where young people can grow, learn, and express their creativity.

To become a cultural and educational benchmark in the Sacred Valley of the Incas by forming a youth orchestra that not only stands out for its artistic excellence, but also inspires an entire generation of children and young people to develop their talents, promote positive values, and contribute to the social and cultural enrichment of their communities. We aspire for the Youth Orchestra of Pisac to become a symbol of unity, hope, and transformation—elevating the lives of young people through the power of music.

However, we are aware that the costs associated with musical instruments and quality education can be prohibitive, especially in rural areas like ours. That is why we have decided to launch this initiative to raise funds and seek sponsors who can help us make this dream a reality. With your support, we will be able to acquire instruments, hire qualified teachers, and secure an adequate space for rehearsals—ensuring that musical education is accessible to all children, without placing a financial burden on their families.

By supporting this project, you are not only investing in the creation of an orchestra, but also in the future of an entire generation of young people who, through music, will find a path of personal growth, discipline, and creativity. Your contribution will help turn this dream into a tangible reality, transforming lives and strengthening our community.

For the development and implementation of the Pisac Youth Orchestra project, it is crucial to have the participation of a variety of stakeholders who can contribute their skills, knowledge, and resources.

This committee, made up of local leaders, mothers, and community representatives, will be the heart of the project, making key decisions and coordinating all activities. Their role is essential to ensure that the project moves forward according to the established vision and mission, managing resources, planning activities, and addressing challenges as they arise.

Music teachers and artistic directors are necessary to provide instruction, guide the young musicians in their learning process, and lead the orchestra. These professionals must be experts in their instruments with experience working with young people, capable of inspiring and motivating students, and creating a suitable and engaging repertoire for the orchestra.

Parents and guardians play a vital role by providing moral and logistical support to their children and the project as a whole. Their involvement ensures the ongoing commitment of the youth and strengthens the bond between the orchestra and the community. They can also assist in organizing events and fundraising activities.

Local authorities and the municipal government are crucial for the legitimacy and sustainability of the project. They can provide rehearsal spaces, facilitate permits, and support the promotion of the project. Furthermore, their involvement can attract additional funding and resources through government programs or strategic partnerships.

Educational institutions can be key partners by providing students, infrastructure, and additional educational resources. They can also integrate musical education into their curriculum, ensuring a continuous flow of new talent for the orchestra.

NGOs and foundations can offer technical, financial, and logistical support. They are important sources of donations and can contribute to the training of youth in social and educational aspects. Additionally, they can help promote and expand the project to other communities.

Local and national companies can provide funding, donate instruments, and offer other necessary resources. In return, they benefit from positive visibility and the social impact of the project, enhancing their corporate social responsibility.

Community or external volunteers can support various areas, from logistics to teaching, administration, and event organization. Their participation is essential for the daily execution of the project and for keeping operational costs low.

The media are crucial for spreading awareness about the project, attracting donors and sponsors, and generating a positive public image. They can help give visibility to the orchestra’s events and highlight the achievements of the young musicians.

Experts in project management, fundraising, musical education, and community development can provide strategic guidance, ensuring that the project develops efficiently and sustainably. Their expertise can be key to overcoming challenges and maximizing the project’s impact.

The active participation of the community is vital to the project’s success. Community members not only provide moral support, but can also participate in fundraising activities, cultural events, and help spread the project’s mission. Their involvement reinforces the project’s sense of belonging and legitimacy.

In the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where every stone, river, and mountain tells the stories of our ancestors, the dreams of our children and youth are also growing. Dreams that, through music, have the power to transform lives, open doors to a hopeful future, and connect our community through melodies of hope and unity.
The Pisac Youth Orchestra is not just a project; it is a bridge toward a tomorrow where every note played by the hands of these young musicians echoes their aspirations and love for this land. But for this symphony of dreams to take shape, we need generous souls who believe in the magic of giving and in the power of music to heal, unite, and uplift.

Today, we extend our hand with the humility of those who know that they cannot walk this path alone. With your support, we are not just funding instruments or classes; we are planting seeds of hope in the heart of every child who dreams of a brighter future, free from the shadows that too often loom over our communities.
Every contribution, no matter how small, will be a ray of light in a young person’s life — another note in the composition of their future. We believe that together, we can turn this dream into a tangible reality, where music becomes the language that unites us all.
